What a busy and exciting month it’s been in Room 11! We created some lovely autumn tree art and started our swimming lessons — everyone is really enjoying splashing about and learning new skills.
We also celebrated Maths Week with lots of fun activities! We sorted 2D shapes, played maths board games, estimated how many pieces of pasta were in a bag, joined an online maths quiz, and even researched famous Black mathematicians as part of Black History Month.
In English, we explored narrative writing and focused on creating descriptive settings. We also finished reading Fantastic Mr. Fox, which the class loved!
In drama we used our bodies to act out different modes of transport. We are loving our drama lessons.
To end the month, we celebrated Halloween with a sweet treat — making chocolate-covered apples! Everyone came to school in spooky costumes, and we ended the week with a special trip to the IFI to watch the award-winning film Flow. We absolutely loved it!
