November in Room 11 ❄️🩵

1st Dec 2025

November was a fantastic month in Room 11, filled with learning, creativity and plenty of excitement! In English, we worked on report writing with our lovely student teacher, Ms Bredican. We wrote and presented brilliant reports about our friends and a range of animals. Our teacher was so impressed with our hard work and confident presenting.

In Gaeilge, we explored the theme of Éadaí, learning lots of new vocabulary through games and activities. We also wrote 'conas seacláid te a dhéanamh' before enjoying a delicious hot chocolate treat!

Maths kept us busy as we focused on Time and Data. We rotated through fun time stations and even made our own clay clocks in Art. For Data, we designed and carried out surveys with different classes around the school. We displayed our results using beautiful bar charts.

In PE, we continued with the Fit4Class programme from Athletics Ireland. We now have four weeks completed and six more to go before we earn our certificates. We also loved taking part in two weeks of the Dare to Believe Olympic movement breaks in our classroom.

Science Week was a highlight! We learned all about electricity with the ESB Safety Tips, exploring the six important rules for staying safe. We carried out experiments using balloons to create static electricity, and we tested conductors and insulators using simple circuits.

To top it all off, we welcomed a visitor from the Creative Schools Programme, who led us in an exciting and inspiring creative workshop.

November has been full of fun and learning—we can’t wait to see what December brings in Room 11!
