The Creative School Committee we brainstormed ideas for a mural. We ended up settling on the idea of space and nature, with book characters and references sprinkled in. We gave each student a mural idea sheet and about a week to let them draw their ideas for the mural, a lucky few were included in the finished project!
Ms. Dean called a few artists from different classes to sketch the designs on paper then directly onto the wall! The mural was decided to go from nature to space in a transition. Once the sketching was done about 3 days later we started painting with a few more volunteers, this took about 2 weeks with the final touchups being added after Easter Break.
We are delighted with how the mural has brightened our school!
