Marathon Kids in Santry
Our Trip To Santry!
Made by Noah and Zain.
On Wednesday, November 19th, our class went to Santry to run the final mile of a marathon and Ms. Cassidy’s class came along with us too. We left school at about 8:50AM to walk to Kilbarrack to take the public bus to Santry. It was about a 30 minute journey on the bus and we all got snacks such as juice boxes, chicken baguettes and flapjacks.
When we got to Santry, we sat in the freezing stadium for 2 whole hours waiting to race. At about 11:00AM the speaker called our class to the track. An instructor told us the rules of the run as we put on our personal jerseys. Other staff members were standing by the track, guiding us along the way. It was 1mile, 1 long and tiring mile, but we had a great time and got medals afterwards. The best part about it was that we didn’t do any work the whole school day!
