June in Room 11 🌞🎉
What a busy and brilliant June we’ve had in Room 11!
We kicked off the month with an unforgettable school tour on the Viking Splash! We explored Dublin by land and water, complete with Viking hats and roars that made everyone smile.
Sports Day was a highlight too – a fun-filled day of races, relays, bouncy castles, fun races, medals, and of course, delicious ice-cream. The energy and enthusiasm from every student made it a day to remember!
This month also saw the return of our amazing Teach the Teacher sessions, where our talented students became the experts! We learned everything from dance, gymnastics, and GAA, to how to write spells, speak Polish and Igbo, facts about space, and even how to play piano. Well done to all our mini-teachers – and a big thank you to parents for your support with preparation!
We enjoyed a sunny day out in Father Collins Park, where we played and made memories together as a class.
In writing, we worked on creating colourful and informative brochures full of advice for next year’s Fourth Class. From how to stay organised, to making the most of fun activities like Zumba, skipping and projects – the children did a brilliant job passing on their wisdom. It was a great way to reflect on the year and show off their creative flair.
Another special moment was our End-of-Year Award Ceremony, where each student was recognised for their unique skills, qualities, and contributions to our class. It was wonderful to celebrate everything that makes our group so special.
As we enter our final week, I want to say thank you, Fourth Class, for your dedication, kindness, and hard work this year. I am incredibly proud of every single one of you and all that you’ve achieved. Wishing you continued success, fun, and learning as you head into Fifth Class!
