Room 16 – February Highlights

February was a fun and busy month in Room 16, filled with creativity, teamwork and lots of learning

Confirmation Preparation
We started the month with the Confirmation. Some pupils in Room 16 celebrated an important milestone by making their Confirmation. It was a special occasion, and we were very proud of them as they marked this significant step. We also got our 6th class photos taken.

🥞 Pancake Tuesday
We celebrated Pancake Tuesday by making delicious pancakes in class. Everyone enjoyed choosing their favourite toppings, and there were plenty of happy smiles as we tasted our creations!

🥏 Frisbee Fun
Each Monday, we have been enjoying our frisbee sessions outdoors. It has been a great opportunity to practise our throwing and catching skills while working together and staying active.

🚤 3D Printing Workshop
Room 16 took part in an exciting 3D printing workshop. The class worked collaboratively to design a boat, and it was fascinating to watch the printer build our design layer by layer.

🥚 STEM Egg Drop Challenge
As part of our STEM learning, we took part in an Egg Drop Challenge. Pupils worked in teams to design and build protective structures to keep their egg safe when dropped from a height. There was lots of problem-solving, creativity and excitement as we tested our designs! Each egg drop was a success!

🌱 Planting Peas
We have also been learning about how plants grow. The class planted pea seeds and will be observing them closely over the coming weeks as they begin to sprout and grow.

🌻 Crazy Creative Day
We finished the month by taking part in Crazy Creative Day. Our classroom hosted the Print station, where pupils coloured and traced images before printing them onto a new page.

Students also had the chance to explore a variety of creative stations around the school, including Coding, Sensory Play, Construction, Drama, Recycled Fashion.

🪐 Planet Projects
We have also been learning about the planets in our Solar System. Pupils researched different planets and worked on creative projects to present what they learned. It was wonderful to see the effort and imagination that went into their work

We look forward to another exciting month of learning and activities in March! 🌈
