December was a wonderful and very festive month in Room 11. After completing all of our tests, we celebrated by making delicious reindeer cookies — they were very tasty and well deserved!
We enjoyed a fun Christmas maths quiz on Zoom. We also took part in a lovely Cáife Gaelach with our fellow Fourth Class friends, where we shared biscuits, juice and lots of Irish conversation. We also spread some festive cheer by singing Christmas carols in the shopping centre.
Our Christmas Jumper Day was great fun and we finished it off with a Santa Dash in Donaghmede Park. In Art, we were very busy creating beautiful Christmas pieces including our Grinch Pinch, festive windows and collaborative Christmas jumpers.
We ended the term with our Christmas play, where we sang Somewhere Only We Know, Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree and proudly recited our Irish poem Fear Sneachta.
