April in Room Eleven 🌸☀️
April may have been a short month, but it was certainly a busy and exciting one in Room Eleven! We made the most of the beautiful spring weather and enjoyed lots of learning both inside and outside the classroom.
We continued our tennis lessons and are really improving our skills each week. The sunshine also gave us the perfect opportunity to take our reading outdoors, where we relaxed and enjoyed our books in the fresh air.
To celebrate Neurodiversity Day, we wore colourful clothes and went on a big walk together. It was a wonderful way to show our support and appreciation for how everyone’s minds work in unique and brilliant ways.
Healthy habits are still a big focus for us, and we were delighted to see more students earning their Food Dudes certificates for making great choices with fruit and vegetables—well done to everyone involved!
We also got our hands dirty in the school garden and discovered our green fingers! We planted potatoes, strawberries, wildflowers, and onions, and we’re looking forward to watching them grow over the coming weeks.
In art, we embraced the beauty of spring by painting delicate cherry blossom.
In science, we explored different types of rocks and soils found in Ireland. We even became young geologists by collecting samples from the school garden to observe and compare.
All in all, April was a fantastic month filled with activity, learning, and plenty of fresh air. We’re excited to see what May will bring!
