What a brilliant start to our new school year in Room 11! Everyone has settled in so well, full of energy and enthusiasm for fourth class.
In Maths, we’ve been diving into place value with lots of fun games and challenges to help us understand big numbers.
In Geography, we took our learning outdoors with a trip to St. Anne’s Park to study the Naniken River. We enjoyed a sunny picnic, spotted different features of the river, and even had time for a run around the playground!
In Science, we got our hearts racing—literally! We learned how to measure our heart rate and discovered what happens to our pulse when we exercise. We also explored healthy eating and other ways to keep our hearts healthy.
In Irish, we’ve been busy learning An Fómhar vocabulary through games and matching activities.
We’ve also started our new class novel, Fantastic Mr. Fox, which everyone is loving so far. We can’t wait to continue reading and explore it further in our reading stations next month.
It’s been a busy and exciting September in Room 11, and we’re only getting started!
