6th Class School Tour ☀️
Emerald Park
On Thursday the 4th of June, Ms. Cassidy and Mr. Horgan's 6th classes went on a school trip to Emerald Park. We arrived at school at normal time and got the private bus to head to Meath. We arrived at Emerald park at around quarter to ten, but we had to wait because the park didn't open until 10 o’clock. As soon as the park opened, we were told the rules and we got let off to go on whatever we wanted but most people ran towards the Cu Chulainn. Ms.Cassidy's class were
the first ones on the rollercoaster that day!
The Cu Chulainn: The Cu Chulainn was a very quick, intense and bumpy ride, but it was still very fun! The Cu Chulainn is the largest wooden rollercoaster in Europe, so that explains why it was so bumpy.
Na Fianna Force: Na Fianna Force is by far the most quick ride in Emerald park, reaching up to speeds like 150 kilometres per hour! It is also probably the most enjoyable ride in the park. It is also one of the most popular rides in the park.
The Quest: The Quest overlaps the Fianna Force, so it basically looks like a big illusion. The Quest starts off by going backward, and then it launches really fast and falls backwards even faster.
Dino Dash: The Dino Dash is a smaller ride in the park, but it still hits speeds up to 60km per hour. The Dino Dash does 2 laps of intense and sharp turns. Dino Dash is one of the less intense rides in the park.
Viking’s Voyage: Viking’s Voyage is the only ride in the park that makes you wet. It includes 3 large drops that lead into pools of water which gets you soaked! One of the three drops spins you backwards and sends you down very fast.
Flight School: Flight School is an aeroplane inspired ride that is similar to Dino Dash, filled with intense and sharp turns. It also does two full laps.
The Rotator: The Rotator was a swing type ride that spins you back and forward non-stop. It was made to get people dizzy after coming off it.
In Emerald Park the weather was on and off. It went from lashing rain to sunny weather in about 5 minutes. That still didn’t ruin our fun and stop us from getting on all the rides. Everybody’s shoes and Uniform were drenched from the rain and puddles around the place.
At Emerald Park, there were a few food stands that sold different types of food. There was a place that sold stuff like burgers, gujouns, pizza and chips. There were also places that sold stuff like churros, donuts, ice-cream and slushies. Other places sold sweets and crisps.
The class favourites were Na Fianna Force, Cu Chulainn, Dino Dash and the Rotator! Those rides were the favourites because they were more of the fast and intense rides!! However, the most liked ride of them all was most likely Na Fianna Force because of its electric drops and 360’s.
